 Uniqueness of the epistle:

The first letter to Timothy gives the most explicit and exhaustive instructions for the Church leadership. Paul includes some sections of appropriate conduct of worship, order of worship, qualification of elders and deacons and Church discipline. This has helped Timothy as an young pastor and is also beneficial to all the pastors of young and old in a way to live purity and emphasize the Christian characters as they oversee the Churches and assemblies.

Although Timothy was young and energetic with full of vigor and commitment, but it also caused some inevitable difficulties with other older Christians who may not have taken readily the leadership of young Timothy due to the lack of experience and knowledge. Paul exhorted young Timothy to set an example of consistent faith and good conscience, remaining above reproach and exercising the spiritual gifts that God had given him (1 Tim.4:12-15). Such a task was not easy for Timothy, but apostle Paul encouraged him to “fight the good fight.”
